Description

Thanks to its extensive infrastructure (buildings capable of housing demolition machinery), Soerma TP was able to produce the equipment requested by the customer in record time: a boom and dipper on a 135-tonne machine.

Long and powerful, these are the words that characterise this machine. Soerma TP manufactured a 15-metre long boom and a 12.20-metre long dipper to achieve a 26-metre reach, all within 8 weeks, including the design phase. The equipment weighs in at around 25 tonnes.

The machine will be used to expand the commercial port of La Rochelle. Its purpose will be to dredge the seabed and rip up the dykes. After modification, the 135-tonne machine will be attached to a barge.
